GYRE arrived on Station W2 at 7:11 GMT on May 14, 2000 and finished all sampling at 16:45 GMT on May 14, 2000. This was the shakedown cruise station and will allow the comparison of two sets of data taken from the same site. Everything went well aside from losing the trawl net while we were towing it. Luckily we have another net that will be set up for the next station. (no photo from this station is available)
